Founded as the Knight Tool Company in 1976 by Patricia and Bill Cavallaro, Camalot developed automated liquid dispensing equipment for the printed circuit board, semiconductor, hybrid, automotive, industrial and medical industries. Knight Tool pioneered the first “automated” liquid dispensing system, for producing temporary solder mask for the printed circuit board industry. In 1987, Camalot (as it was branded then) made its initial foray into electronics assembly under the leadership of Ken Cavallaro through the design of an automated liquid dispensing system for an aerospace application.
Since then, a legacy of innovation and a solid reputation for producing high-quality, durable products such as the 3800, XyflexPro+, FX-D and the latest platform, Prodigy, has enabled our customers to maintain the high standards demanded by the electronics industry. Prodigy
The Camalot Prodigy is engineered and built to deliver high-speed, extremely accurate dispensing. Its XY gantry, linear-drive technology, refined motion control and rigid frame achieve ±35 microns at 3 sigma dot-placement accuracy at full speed, with automatic vision for fiducial alignment and fast edge-detection positioning.
Prodigy Dual Lane
The Prodigy Dual Lane is designed for the requirements of industries such as automotive and semiconductor, available as a compact 4-zone system (830 mm wide) or a larger 6-zone system (1270 mm) for true dual-lane dispensing throughput.
